Finer customer, stakeholder, and marketing register.

 

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

The purpose of processing personal data is to manage customer relationships, maintain contact, and conduct various surveys. Personal data is used for company communication, marketing, and sales.

The legal basis for processing personal data is the legitimate interest of the data controller to process data and communicate with stakeholder contacts regarding matters related to their areas of responsibility.

Personal data is collected from the data subjects themselves and from public sources such as company websites, social media platforms, or other similar registers in accordance with data protection legislation.

Data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

 

4. Data Content of the Register

The register may include the following information:

  • Name, position/title and area of responsibility

  • Company/organization

  • Contact details (phone number, email address, postal address)

  • Website addresses

  • IP address of the network connection

  • Information about ordered services and products and any changes to them

  • Billing information

  • Other information related to the customer relationship and ordered services

  • Newsletter and email engagement data (e.g., opens and clicks)

IP addresses of website visitors and cookies necessary for service functionality are processed based on legitimate interest, for example, to ensure data security and collect statistical data on website visitors when such data can be considered personal data. Consent is requested separately for third-party cookies when necessary.

 

5. Regular Sources of Information

Information stored in the register is obtained from the customer via web forms, email, phone, social media services, contracts, customer meetings, and other situations where the customer provides their data.

Contact information of company and organization representatives may also be collected from public sources such as websites, directory services, and other companies.

 

6. Recipients or Recipient Groups of Personal Data

Personal data may be disclosed to authorities within the limits permitted and required by applicable legislation.

Regular Disclosures and Transfers Outside the EU or EEA
Data is not regularly disclosed to third parties. Data may be published to the extent agreed with the customer.

 

7. Principles of Register Protection

Care is taken in processing the register, and data processed via information systems is appropriately protected. When register data is stored on internet servers, the physical and digital security of the hardware is properly ensured. The data controller ensures that stored data, server access rights, and other critical personal data are handled confidentially and only by employees whose job descriptions include such tasks.

 

8. Retention Period of Personal Data

Personal data is retained as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, in accordance with this privacy statement. Inactive personal data is regularly deleted.

9. Rights of Data Subjects Regarding Personal Data Processing

Right of Access
Data subjects have the right to inspect what personal data concerning them is stored in the register and to receive a copy of the data. Requests should be sent to info@finer.fi. The request must include sufficient information to locate the data. Additional information may be requested to verify identity.

Responses to access requests are sent via email unless the data subject requests another method.

Right to Rectification
Finer ensures the quality of personal data to the best of its ability. Incorrect or unnecessary data is corrected, deleted, or supplemented either proactively or at the request of the data subject.

Right to Restrict Processing
The data subject has the right to request restriction of processing, for example, if they contest the accuracy of the personal data. Processing is then restricted for the time needed to verify the data.

Right to Erasure
The data subject has the right to request the deletion of their personal data or to object to its processing when based on legitimate interest. The data subject always has the right to object to direct marketing by sending an email to info@finer.fi.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
The data subject may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which in Finland is the Data Protection Ombudsman.
